Please find an explanation below from Sharon, The TRF Membership Secretary on the membership renewal process.
Mid-way through the month before renewal is due (eg, 15/16 Feb for March renewals), I send out an email:
1. To members who are due to expire during the following month and explain how they can renew – details how renewal can be made in the email:
a. Visiting the TRF website
http://www.trf.org.uk and clicking on the Renew Online link and follow the instructions - you will need to be logged in.
b. Completing the enclosed Direct Debit Instruction Mandate (saving yourself 10% off the relevant subscription cost) and posting to the address below. Please include your name and address.
c. Posting a cheque (to the address below) for £45. Cheques should be made payable to TRF – please also include your membership number and postcode on the back of the cheque so that we can identify the payment.
2. To remind DD members that they are due to be automatically renewed and give them the opportunity to order extra stickers, make a donation, cancel the DD; the DD system also sends out an email advising members of the imminent collection.
Then the month following when renewal is due, another email will go to those members who failed to renew advising them membership has expired and how to renew.
Anyone who doesn’t have an email, or whose emails “bounces”, gets a letter with the info through post (max of about 20 each month get postal letters).
Where members have difficulty renewing on line, I forward their difficulty to Adrian who resets their account/password and they then manage to renew no problem.
I hope this is enough info but if you need anything else, let me know.
Thanks.
