I cant think why the Disco has a nose weight of only 150kg The Range Rover is 250kg and the Easylifter seems a good solution for a 690 at 150 KG or even my CRF250L The Dave Cooper flexes too much over 125kg for the CRF250L Incidentally Stuart, to effortlessly load the bike to a Dave Cooper lateral rack, I generally simply leave the bike sideways 2 foot up a steep slope or bank - reverse up to the bank and slip the bike a few inches downhill onto the Dave Cooper. No straining Same for removal which can be more difficult as the rack hoops rise when lifting the bike off. Back up to a slope - lay the bike to the slope or bank then drive away without lifting. Using the air suspension to lower/raise the back when loading can also make it much easier. |

The Easylifter is now a very interesting alternative and without the speed restrictions of a trailer too. Time to investigate further & thanks for prompting me to check the nose weight limit. Hi Peter - not the trailer - I was reffering to nose weight on the Dave Cooper carrier as mentioned by Stuart At over around 125kgs it seems to flex too much http://www.davecooper.co.uk/bike-racks/motorcycle-racks  This is a great solution for a 100kg CRF230 behind the Rangie Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |

Philip Hi Philip Well…………….if you’re happy with the nose weight and going down that route, I would go for the Dave Cooper Scooter Rack. I’ve championed it on here lots of times. It’s very easy to load / unload the bike with the ramp. The rack stores easily in the back of the 4x4 and in the garage. The ramp slots on the rack when not in use. However, the wheel hoop does need extending for the 21” front wheel. I found that if the bike is tied down with the stand down, it helps make it all nice and stable. It made no difference when driving. The front didn’t feel light. When I bought mine, I explained that it was for carrying an enduro bike. DC added 2 struts for extra strength free of charge.
