Hello, Just wondering what people have found best for their CRF 230. I geared mine down before even riding it to 12/50 as I used the bike in a very slow tricky enduro. I then trail rode it for the first time a few months ago and found out just how low geared it is what with riding on the road. Cheers Joe. Sent from my Bush 5" Android using Tapatalk |

Hi Joe, I use 14/50 low enough for the trails and reasonable on the road in between trails. (13t is standard) Did have 14/52 but now has XR rear wheel and could only get a 50 sprocket for it but it has not made it too high geared. Hope this helps |

14 / 50 for road work orientated areas. 13 / 50 when there is a bit of "climbing" to be done, mainly because it allows better use of 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear. |

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll try 14/50 and 14/48. Yet I know someone that runs 14/45 and he says its OK for both but I would of personally said that's a bit to road based. Sent from my Bush 5" Android using Tapatalk |
