My rear tyre is needing some changing too. So far I have considered the Mitas C02 and the E09. I think the Eo9 is more tarmac friendly due to it's profile, whilst the c02 looks like a motocross tyre. I am not sure where the Rockrider fits in between their current line up though.

Okay just Google'd quickly, found this on the KTM forum:

they don't grip on rock, gravel, roots or in the wet. the only place they work is in deep mud. On the road they are lethal especially when fairly new.

so if you ride around a muddy field all the time go for it, if you ride any where else don't bother. They do last though, compound is similar to that on forklift tyres !

Although some swear by them because they last 40 years, CO2s are horrible horrible things. Like riding on concrete instead of rubber.

Get the right tyre for the lanes and just take it easy on the road.
I use Mitas Xtreme, which are barely legal, and they work a treat in the south east slurry and are still fine in the summer dust.
Great fun on the road with a 5mm X 5mm contact patch so I'm a bit careful in the wet but they self clean really well.
Not necessarily any good for 125s though Flynn but your Husky might be ok Brad.
Or Michelin 6 days - my nephew has that on his.

Thanks David, I'm just looking, dirt bike express has some good ones but I've no experience of them to judge.
The Michelins are a good tire, I just feel guilty for destroying them so quickly.

They have to be treated as a consumable, in my view. As are chains due to the hammering they get.
At £50 a time, they're not as bad as road bike tyres. I think I paid around £200 for a pair for my 950 and they're hardly sports bike sticky rubber.

Never ever put an AC10 on the front.

Are the same as the Sava mc23 rock riders? If so yes I have a rear on, for the summer nicer on the road than the mitas extreme I use in the winter mud.
