I'm roughly the same size and had a WR250 but needed a lowering link (still have it if anyone wants it), find a stock crf250x fine and now ride a stock Husaberg 390, with time & experience you'll get more comfortable with it

I'm 5'3" so also base my bike buying decisions on height. I bought a crf230 which was ok but I fitted a lowering link which has definitely helped.
