I have recently purchased a Garmin Monterra GPS and I would like to buy a blue tooth head set so that I can hear the turn by turn instructions. Which one should I get? Do I need a headset with both mic and speakers or can I just get speakers? Do I need to get a set specific to the Monterra? Any help would be appreciated. Hopefully someone out there is having success with their set up who can help.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve

This is an interesting idea that I haven't tried yet But may be possible

The first step is to see if the Bluetooth will do the audio you need - pair to any existing BT device you have eg the car

If it works I would then get with a cheap m/c Bluetooth or the Sena unit

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/271702003048 is worth a punt at sub £30

I did have the cardo scala G9 which I sold as I spent more time getting it to work than using it. My advice is to avoid this one

Thanks for the reply Mario. I have found a few comments on forums stating that the Sena SMH 10 works with the Monterra so I am looking at these.

Thanks for your input guys. A mate and I clubbed together and ordered the Sena 20S twin set as we ride our adventure bikes together and intend to do long trips. Being able to comumunicate and use the GPS turn by turn will be great.
