Hello there..

Was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where i can or how i can identify Byways in Berkshire?? I went out for a ride yesterday all over Buckleburry and Chievely and beyond... Came accross a couple of lanes that had resrtictions on, ie Closed due to being unsafe etc etc, they listed what lanes where effected but had no map to show which ones they were. I stayed off them just to be safe, although one said closed till December 31st, or when the council says it is safe which ever is the earlier.... but I cant find the numbers anywhere!!
Any help would be greatly welcome... Many thanks. Ian

O the byways they mentioned were,15/2. 15/3. 23/1,,,,

Have you tried searching on the Trailwise map tool?
http://www.trailwise.org.uk/gmaps/gmap.htm
go to the area you want by panning and zooming, then press the button bottom right, then again on the button that appears above the original. Hover over the lanes that appear (if any) and click to see the names and authorised users, the road name is displayed as well, but this may not match the ones on the posted signs.
The definitive map for that area may be a better option if the council has an online version.
