hello everyone.

I was wondering if anybody knows if there are any fitment differences for brake lines on the E model and S model.

Reason for asking is I'm going to replace my brake lines...but trying to find braided lines for the E is impossible.....yet you can get them for the S. I'm pretty sure the bikes are the same apart from the carb ...tank and cam profiles.

My oem lines are shot not that the z is a road bike or in that good condition but for the price of braided lines its worth it.

Thanks
Dan

As far as I'm aware there's isn't really all that much difference between the S and E. The SM on the other hand has different forks so maybe that would have some impact... but afaik there shouldn't really be much of an issue using S on E.

You could always order the part from wherever your going to order it from.. check it and if it doesn't fit send it back. You should be able to get a good idea with the length of cable without having to actually install it.

HEL brake lines will make them to pattern or you can go to their website and put your own measurements, angles, fitting type etc in.

I'm 99% sure that the braking system on E and S is identical. The only difference being the perch and lever due to the S coming with brake light switch as stock. I assume you've got a banjo pressure switch on your E.

I have Hel on my S and Goodridge on my E

Venhill list lines for the E and their website does give a different part number for the S

I've always had great service from Venhill in the past.
