Can any of you recommend a cheap pressure washer?

New to this game and finding the cleaning a bit of a drag.

They rotate in Aldi and Lidl once or twice a year, they are high power for a good price. I have had one from Aldi for a couple of years, serves me well. They also come with a 3 year warrenty that i have put to the test and it was trouble free

Are the small Karcher units any good? Halfords are selling them for about £70

the k2 from halfords will do job fine it has a lot of plastic fittings that can break real easy so treat it with care, ive stop useing pressure washers on my bike as i think it leads to more wheel bearing failures and lower head stem bearings so now just use hose pie pressure and muc off cleaner

Stay away from karcher, I have one which ive had for around 6 - 8 years and it hasn't broke yet, patio cleaning and regular use to wash bike.

But its an old one and the old ones are best, now they don't make them so well because they have a good reputation etc... like ktm really good but now make bikes which will need to be recycled for scrap rather than rebuilt.

Id say get one from lidl or aldi like above as it has a 3 year warranty. but im sure the sale of goods act covers you if you buy elsewhere.

Buy a cheap one and make sure you keep the receipt.

In my experience of the small ones they are little better than a hose pipe as although the pressure is upped the amount of water available is the same so they don't really have the current to move the dislodged dirt away, a hose pipe and brush is just as good and gentler on bearings IMHO
Save your money for other dirt biking goodies :)

I've had loads, older Karcher with brass pumps are good or you can still buy the ones with brass pumps but are expensive.
My philosophy now is buy a cheap one from Argos, Challenge are quite good ( mine has outlasted all my Karcher), for around £12 you can extend the warranty to 3 yrs, with a no quibble replacement.

Then you need some D-Tech Cleaner, just to make the job easier with fantastic results, available from me. :)

If we are talking about cleaners, rhino goo is for me. But I have noticed my swing arm bearings getting a little squeaky (dry?)

I have found a hose to do just a good as a job, but pressure washer gives you that satisfaction of blasting the dirt off, although with the added spice of ruining your bearings.
