I'm thinking what tyres I should put on my Aprilia Pegaso.

It's mainly used as a road bike, but I'd lke tyres on it that will work in the mud when my MT350 is off the road.
The obvious choice for off road is Continental TK80s but I think they'll be too off road biased for motorway work etc. So i'm thinking somethin like pirelli MT60s.

What other options are there that I should look at??

Have a look at the metzeler enduro 3 sahara's.

TKC's aren't good in mud. They're acceptable on gravel/dry trails.

If you wan't to have fun in mud on a heavy bike like a pegaso I'd go for the most aggressive knobbly you can live with.

I'm running Dunlop d908's on my ktm 690 enduro and they're good off road and wear well on tarmac. road manners aren't good - no worse than most knobby's tho.

Hi FMF,

We list the following for a Pegasso

http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.eu/dunlop_u ... &year=2000

I've had no experience of off road on my GS, and my Mich rear tyre is very nearly worn, I am due to get a set soon.

The D607's get good reviews for their road work and are supposed to be reasonably capable off road.

But this article says we have a new tyre? Dunlop Trailmax TR91

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/Produ ... re-at-nec/

Motorcycle tyres are not my field of expertise in the tyre world (Truck & Bus tyres are though)

I think motorbike tyres generally are quite a personal thing.

That's the view from a Goodyear Dunlop employee :D

http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.eu/dunlop_u ... ailmax.jsp look like they fit the bill. No idea what they're like though.

What ever you do don't get Bridgestone Trailwings. They're not known as deathwings for nothing. OE on my Scrambler. I called into ATS on the ride home from picking it up from the dealer I bought it from. Truly horrible in the cold and wet.

I picked up my new Dunlop trailmax tyres today, hope to get them fitted next week.

They look quite chunky, but not too blocky so I guess they'll offer good (ish) off road traction and should be OK on the road too. I look forward to trying them out weekend after this.
