Out Green Laning today and noted that a track I use in Clavering Essex has a TRO that has Bikes and Cars not permitted from November till April. Not seen this before!

Its the lane just along from the Cricketers pub.....

Just concerned as this may be the start of a permanent TRO!

Cheers..

This was reported on here back in November. I think there were about 5 lanes with a tro put on them in Essex.

The following Essex byways will be closed from 1st November to 31st March 2015.
High Roding 55 / TL6016
High Roding 13 / TL6117
Clavering 50 / TL4731 & TL4831
Pentlow 3 / TL8145
Little Henny 1 & Middleton 13 / TL8538 Signs and bollards will be erected at each end of these lanes. ...

At least because temp they have an expiration date, I worry about Ashwell Street back in cambs which now has a volentry restraint as this does not have expiration date and we all know Cambs will not be making a big effort to lift that order.

Kind regards

Russell.

When I rode Ashwell Street yesterday. From the caravan park end there are I signs by the crossroads to explain any restrictions are in place.

The tro will most likely be extended as the council will happily pay to put bollards and signs up rather than fix the damage.

The tro will prove nothing except the lane has stayed the same or got worse due to agricultural use because the puddles still form as the holes/ruts have not be repaired.

The first part of this lane has been graded in the past (and is still in good shape) the grading stops abruptly as rounding a sharp turn and the ruts start perhaps suggesting the council to out of money at the time who knows.

The head highways man Rodney bass seams pretty anti vehicles as I recently read he wants to impose a 20 mph limit on roads going through villages in Essex.
