This link should get you to back issues of Trail Magazine, I think September 2014 had something about routes and View ranger.

Go to the ViewRanger web site

http://www.viewranger.com

Or

my.viewranger.com

Or

Open an account or download the free app...

Then...

Go to plan a route from scratch or open routes..

On the Routes page then search by text using "TRF"... That will bring up all routes with TRF in the title that are not private.....

Beware of false routes that are not TRF Official routes and are probably illegal and put on by the nasty antis...

Best to contact the RoW officer listed in the TRF Trail mag or the local TRF Group... For genuine routes...

HAVE A LOOK HERE: http://www.trfribblevalley.co.uk/articl ... i-make-one

View ranger can also display routes made with Memory Map...

It's really very good...I use it with an old iPhone 3GS (£60 as new) ... With a waterproof crash proof case mounted on the bars and wired into the battery...£18 for case £20 for battery feed plug in cable...

I've done several reports with photos on here..search ANDY.T & viewranger...

I've just researched and set up some routes on CRETE for this years holls... Easy with practice...used it in Venice with free open maps downloaded to the phone for use off line where there is no phone reception... Works well with free satnav between the lanes as well...
