Looking for an small video camera that fits to the side of helmet to use for recording green laning. I don't like the GoPro's bit expensive and stand out to much. Did see a nice one called Contour but since been told they have gone out of business. Budget is about £150 not sure if that's reasonable to get a quality one or not. Maybe we (TRF) have a deal with a company? So many of them out there so anyone who's got experience of a good one.....Don't want to waste my money and hopefully just buy it once.

Cheers....

I too didn't want a GoPro, simply because I didn't want what everybody else had. And funnily enough I went for a Contour, not knowing they were out of business, which wasn't such a big deal in the end. They are a very good quality camera but do have a couple of niggles, main one being I can't get the app to work on my phone that allows me to control the camera (not updated app since going bump obviously)

So I am now looking at a Sony, they do AS15, AS30, AS100 and I believe they have just brought a new one out but that is mega bucks. Now these camaras seem perfect for me apart from there system of mounting, it has to be in its waterproof housing. That's fine for trail riding, but not ideal for other things I like to use it for, so im still on the fence.

If was was buying today, it would be the contour roam 2.

Best mounting system, decent footage, easy operation with gloves on.

I thought the company was back up and running after going bust?

They are back up and running yes, and I believe have released a new camera, but it all seems to be US focused atm

They without doubt are the best mounting and easy operation as you say.

Drift.. Used them on trackdays and now on trail. Simple to use, small and neat, the newer "ghost" models have some great features. To put it bluntly they are made for it!
