..... KTM EXC's for sale compared with Yamaha WR's? Been looking on ebay and autotrader and it seems theres alot more KTM 250 and 450's for sale than there are yamaha's, like loads of KTM's and maybe 1 or 2 yammys :?. Just wondered why. Any ideas?

Because KTM utterly dominate the enduro bike market, and for very good reason.

So its probably just people selling them to buy a newer one, or it could be that they are selling them because they relised that what they really wanted was a yammy! :D

Probably unture.

Fact is enduro is the key market for KTM, and utterly unimportant for Yamaha.

This is reflected in the attitude of dealers etc

In general Yam enduro spares are expensive and poorly available compared to KTM.

Well said Richard why are people so anti ktm cost to much, parts are not cheep, take alot of looking after, etc.

most of them have never had a ride or had anything to do with a ktm, i have had many bikes and used to be a big honda lover but one ride on a ktm and thats the bike for me. exc 525 a bit of a hand full on the tight slippy stuff but lots of fun. i would not swap it.

Im certainly not "anti" ktm thanks, im actually thinking of getting one instead of a yamaha because they are easier to get hold of and cheaper on insurance (for me anyway). I have a yamaha and have riden 2 ktm's, the question i was asking was why are there so many more for sale, and from what i understand now its because more people own them.
