When it says bike must be properly silenced what does thuis actually mean??

I have an XR 250 with a standard exhaust but no baffle in, is this acceptable or do I need to aquire a baffle??

Apologies I am completely new to this kind of fun :D

when people say properly silenced , in my opinion were talking about the fitting off louder than standard exhausts,
many lane closures have been due to noise raising the awareness that we ( trail riders ) are there . im only guessing but, i think with the baffle oot your going to draw attention to yourself, could be wrong ,

your bike will actualy run better with the baffle in and you will get more miles per gal,
running without a baffle makes an engine run very week unles you have jetted !!! ;)

Too Loud = Offensive

I like a pipe that sounds meaty but not ear piercing loud. Stick to stuff with a removable baffle. Always nice to keep your options open.
