The first part of the reference (the letters TQ) are the national grid reference. The OS divide the country up into 10k * 10k squares and identify these squares by assigning 2 letters to them.

The digits are a coordinate within that square.

For a full explanation see the following reference sheet, courtesy of OS themselves:

Hi

TQ is the general area and guides you if you don't know where in the UK the references are.

The first set of 3 numbers are read across the bottom of the map (eastings - as they are read to the east): Grid line 85 and then 6/10 of the square to the right.
The second set of 3 are the northings - as they are read to the north - and read up the side of the map in the same way: Grid line 34 plus 7/10 of the square above.

Hope that makes sense.

I presume they are routes as you have 'to' in your references.
I don't have 125 to hand as mine are all Sussex.

The first one is a nice little Byway numbered AB62 in the Tenterden area on the Kent Definitive map. It is just as clear on the Landranger OS map number 189 Ashford & Romney Marsh.
The second one is in the Benenden area best shown on Landranger map 188 Maidstone & the Weald of Kent. The map referance that you have given is part of a bigger Byway, but the first part from your referance is AT64, then continues over the border into WC362, exiting at TQ 816314.
