Patsy's days out aren't cheap but they are well worth it.
In the past, she wouldn't allow you to use your own bike for a discount but that may have changed.

Interesting to see a validation of my thoughts about the 690 (except the map changing seems easier than I remembered).
She's only 20 minutes away from me at her Sussex base but I have to say £450 for a 2 day course is a bit on the heavy side for me at the moment.

Before I bought the bike I emailed said Adventure acadamy to ask if I could pay for 1/2 days ride on a 690 Enduro just to see what its like off road. Dont need any training, just the use of the bike. You would think that would be a good deal for them as they dont need to spend their time doing anything just give me the bike and take my money. But I never got a reply! Why put an email address on your site if you dont use it ???

So they wont get any business from me and I wont recommend them

Hmmm I emailed them asking for a quote for work on my 525 ( oil cooler) when they advertised bike prep work... but despite sending again and leaving two phone messages I never got a reply...

Might just be a web issue or work load or they were away racing... :?:

Not really sure that excuse cuts the mustard anymore, if you want business and have a web site, buy a phone that receives emails, which most phones do these days ;)

3 years ago they didn't reply to emails very well either (if at all).
Somehow I had Patsy's mobile and home numbers from the original booking and managed to get hold of her but it was difficult - they could really do with an admin helper.
To save you asking, I don't have the numbers now.

I think my main concern with the 690 was weight, the bike clocks in at 138 KG without fuel.

First thing you notice, or don’t notice, is the weight, it seems to carry it very low on the bike and so far I cannot really feel it’s 30kg heavier than the G450X.

More to follow as I progress with the bike…

Come back and tell us after a wet UK winter :D
