hi ya there i have a 1991 import baja currently running a 110/100/18 rear tyre (suppossed to be a 100/100/18) what tyre choices do i have thats legal but good for greenlanes it currently has a knobbly which strictly speaking aint legal so i wish to amend this as i dont fancy the hassle that comes with an illegal tyre vosa etc....

any help would be greatful

Hi...

I've just fitted a pair of "Golden Tyres" to my bike (Yes... Awful name). They're seem pretty good to me and cheap too.

One thing... Front is "E" marked but rear isn't though both are advertised as road legal. You may wish to take advice on this. Certainly neither are marked "Not for highway use" etc. Both are F.I.M. rated.

They are pretty "knobbly" though so if you're doing a lot of tarmac then you may want to consider something a bit more "road friendly".

Last thing... Honest...

In my humble opinion don't fit the widest back tyre you can. As you have limited power a wide rear will bog down whereas a thinner one will spin.

Good luck...
