Garmin Montana 600

I'm considering replacing my current Sat Nav with a Garmin Montana 600, which can, I believe, provide both road navigation and OS maps for green lane routes with the correct software ?
Can anyone point me towards suppliers of such goods at a good price ?

Very impressed with my Montana 600.
Best gps unit I have owned.
I admit,it is far better than all the others I have owned,
Satmap user for five years,Road Angel 7000 for three years,Peaklife for one year,various phones with apps all burnt out or drowned ! e.t.c e.t.c

A couple of points of advice,
Buy one with 1.50 Uk on it.It is all you need to navigate for all your trail riding.
When used with 1.50 uk map it will guide you via a little pointer arrow along your created track line.
If you go off the route it will show you visually where you are off your track line.

To navigate yourself the same as a car sat nav, you will also need to download Uk city navigator to your device,for about £30 from Garmin site.
The whole of europe and 1.50 uk will not fit on the unit without really fiddling with the software to make it fit.
I found city navigator uk is all you need,unless you are driving abroad alot ?.
I also bought europe on an sd card,so I will put that card in when I go abroad for normal sat nav voice command driving.
To get the voice spoken commands you will need to buy the speaker mount for your car.

You will also need to buy the powered bike mount which is another £30/40,and a ram mount £30/40.
Then wire up the mount to your bikes battery,with an in line fuse and switch too turn off the constant charging when not needed.

I also use one and agree with Gray. I have CN Europe and GB Discoverer 1:50 on mine But both maps are on the micro sd card.

best bit of kit I have don't no why I never got one ages ago.
what I did was find one on the net then went to gout doors they matched it plus 10%.

I have just changed from a Sat map 10 over to Garmin 600 best thing I have done Garmin a far better bit of kit , I got mine at a bargain price while they were on offer from Go out doors for £300 in cluding GB mapping

Lots of love being quite rightly shown for the Montana but I would not go back from my Monterra

Same forma factor & charging dock
Viewranger as well as Garmin Maps & Base Camp
Pinch zoom in and out
Dropbox uploads .gpx wirelessly from the PC
Pins sharp display

I am however looking for a second montana to allow prospective purchasers to try both out before they buy and for use in training sessions - if you have one (no maps needed) let me know.

I think you should checkout Garmin Montana 600 reviews first before buying it....I have searched on Google but didn't find trustworthy review.
