Hi all,

Just joined the TRF and will be looking for a bike soonest. I have been more into adventure bikes recently, have a KTM1190 and DR650SE. Both I suspect too heavy for trails. Will be looking for something like a DRZ400 which I had many years ago. I would like to have the option to be able to get some long range trips in, hence a sacrifice of a little weight for distance comfort. Did have a CRF250 for a trip in Vietnam and that was fine with no luggage. Any thoughts on a CRF400?

Thanks

Rob

Greetings Rob,

Welcome from the folks of the Manchester TRF.

I note that your name is coloured 'black' so I presume that you are not yet a full member. No worries, the answer to your question is a varied as the Members and everybody has an opinion. Might I suggest that you get in touch with your local Group/s and make arrangements to visit them. I am sure that you will be made most welcome and you will find lots of information to help with your decision making, take your time.
