For anyone who missed it this week...

2: Read this:

Hexham Lane is OPEN!

Last year 467 people donated £14,730 to a campaign to re-open a classic Green Road in the north of England. The TRF used that money to fund a High Court legal challenge which resulted in talks with Durham County Council to find a solution.
Yesterday Hexham Lane once again opened for business under an Experimental TRO. This Green Road is now open to walkers, horses, bicycles and motorbikes.

BUT, as the label suggests this is an Experimental TRO - it can be closed again at any point. Hexham Lane will be under very close scrutiny. If it becomes damaged then all this hard work will be lost, it will be closed again and we won't get another chance.
The TRF want you to enjoy this Green Road, but please respect and conserve it. If it's looking delicate, save it for a better day. If you come across others using it, be nice.

Thank you to everyone who helped fund this campaign and especially Tony Huntrod of Northumbria TRF who led the drive locally and Alan Kind, John Vannuffel and the rest of the TRF legal team who made it happen.
Hexham Lane is ALMOST saved...
