Rod,

So sorry to hear the bad news.
It's unfortunate that the society we live in allows this sort of behaviour.
No matter what measures you take there will always be somebody out there who will try and defeat them, just need to make life a difficult as possible for them.
Don't let them get you down get on the look out for replacements.

Dear Rod

I'm so sorry to hear your news.

You were the reason I joined the TRF and for me you are the embodiment of all the Fellowship stands for. My Serow is yours for as long as you need it if you change your mind on borrowing a bike.

What doesn't kill you makes you strong....don't let them win! Hope to see you back in the saddle soon.

Hi Rod,

Just seen the news on Facebook so the word is getting round ok.

I was booked on your trip but had to cancel due to Leks hospital apt which has now been postponed :x

This has obviously been a well planned robbery and the bikes will almost certainly end up abroad, it just goes to show that if the scumbags are determined enough they usually succeed despite all the best efforts.

Anyway Rod, upwards and onwards... don't let the bastards get you down. You have a huge amount of support and respect which is priceless. Just get back on the trail asap !

If you need a bike at short notice just let me know.

Tim.

Scrotes! I'm sorry to hear you've lost the bikes Rod.

I know that the insurance won't cover the care and 'fettling' that went into them, but good luck with your claim and I hope you are back on the trail asap.

I have re-posted the info on a couple of forums and on the Beta XTrainer FB group.

Rod

So sorry to hear the news. I had ‘one’ bike stolen a couple of years ago but I can’t imagine how you must be feeling after having THREE stolen!
Initially I had the same thoughts as you,

makes me wonder if it's worth having a new bike, or any bike for that matter?

Biking is your hobby, your pastime, your passion. You can’t give up without a fight. Get those bikes replaced, install as many security measures as you can & believe me, eventually the paranoia will go.

Once again everyone, your help and support is very much appreciated.

However, I believe the bikes are only a few miles from my home.

Whilst riding round in my car on Saturday, my 2 Yams BOTH passed me, in the opposite direction......being ridden like they'd been stolen
