I fitted a lithium ion to my drz. 100% positive review. holds more cranks by a mile over a standard lead battery. not that it makes any difference really but the weight saving is very good. the bike cranks over so much better. I came off my bike and it refused to start....im sure a standard battery would have given up after the amount of cranks I had to use before it fired up. but the ion one jut kept cranking. go for it

I have them fitted to both my bikes, a drz400 also, and a wr250f. They are fantastic, I echo all the comments above. They also hold there charge for ages so no need to keep them on charge when not in use. Fully recommended Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk |

Waste of money, can't be charged by a normal battery charger. If it goes flat for any reason it's toast and fit for the bin. As for weight saving. The average trail rider who eats pies and cakes could get better weight saving for the bike by losing a few kg themselves. |

Not been a waste of money for me. The Husa has had one for 3 years. Never needed charging away from the bike and has never let me down. |

I put one on my FE501 saved fair bit of weight. No problems so far, as for weight saving it's probably the most value for money. I'm not a porky rider though

Recommend. Had one on my DRZ. It had a trip switch which shutdown the battery when voltage dropped low to protect the cells. Yes you need a special charger but I used a small lead-acid trickle charger with no problems. Enduro bikes are omitting kick-starts now as starter systems become more reliable and a spare lightweight battery can be carried in rucksack. |

I bought a £16 normal battery, and spent the £30 I saved on beer and pies, but then made sure to have a really good shit before I went riding, and can report that I REALLY did feel the weight saving....and my bike still starts... |

Had a shido Lithium Battery on my Ktm 300 never let me down well worth a purchase now i have one on my Swm rs 300r works well. |

You need to buy a charger with them really to keep them optmised. According to a mechanic I used, they gave an initial stronger dollop of leccy to the starter than standard lead battery but after a few seconds the lead battery takes over in terms of strength as it can go for longer. So if you have hot start issues on the trail a lead battery may work out better. I have one and it was not great on my Ducati, which needs to turn over for at least 5 seconds usually. Occasionally it ran out of juice and needed a bump start, so my mechanic has a point I think. |
