I had an R15 and found it too small, so I switched to an R20, very pleased I made the switch. I carry a Camelbak bladder - 2 litres I think - plus tools, spare tube, 2-stroke oil, gaffer tape, extra waterproof layer, snacks..... With the R15, I found there wasn't much space at all in the main compartment after I'd inserted the Camelbak bladder. There have been times when I've been tempted to challenge Kriega's volume claims - when I had the R15 I really felt it would be impossible for it to hold the contents of three 5 litre fuel cans. Though as you can imagine, I never tested it! |

Thanks for that I did wonder about the 15 & 20 Does the R20 feel a look bulkier when worn? It seemed a bit longer ? |

A left field option... I have started using a Giantloop Mojave Saddle Bag 2. It's a small pannier system. Fits everything I need plus protects the bike PLUS makes the bike look likes it's on a journey and not straight off the race track. I use the R15, its full everytime. some tools, water bag, spare gloves, tape, tow rope, cable ties. I keep going through it and trying to take things out. |
