Was looking at buying a ramp to get bike into van this week and seen the ones which fold in two or the other type which can be used as a small car ramp

Folding
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311126741327

Other type
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131528954249

Like the idea of other type so can stick can on it
Wondered what people are using or have found

Cheer matt

Ramps are an expensive rip off usually.
As Joel says, a scaffold plank is sufficient if you have a van.
Not so handy for a trailer though :)

Folding type are great for trailers or pickup as the can go in the boot or across the seats in the cab while riding. Shop around big variation in price and if a local trailer dealership has them you can save the p&p

If you want to be scared, watch Mac loading his bike into his hi deck Luton with two unequal ramps

Don't think I'd want to use a scaffold plank loading onto a pickup though....things could go wrong very quickly...ok on a transit..

It's not so much getting the bike in/on, it's getting it off/out backwards with a big drop.
