Greetings,

My thoughts exactly, I was sending a message but Phil's must have clashed somehow at the same time so mine got lost.

Battery off for a full 12 hour recharge and test; check cleanliness and security of all battery connections, leads to and from the solenoid, starter lead connection and engine earth. On more than one occasion I have actually fitted an extra earth lead from the engine to the frame to fix a similar problem on a different model of bike. Unlikely but check the sprag clutch too.

+1 for that :!:
Take a split link and file out the outer plate holes slightly till no longer a tight fit on pins, keep two and a couple of spare links with you for emergency get you home repair, don't worry about O rings as it's temp as you would replace chain when home :oops:
