Must admit I hadn't thought of a collapsible trailer to store in the car.
The motolug is pricey, but Dave Cooper does a collapsible one much cheaper .... any thoughts on that one please?

I'm very pleased with mine.
It's worth buying the little ramp as well if you haven't got one already.

@ davidscott

That's nice, is it a kit or done to plans?
I've been thinking of making a 4 bike trailer to ship the 690's down to the south of Spain for morocco trips, That one looks like it could be adapted for a 4th bike across the back/front.
I was thinking of making it sectioned so it could be adapted to take 1,2,3 or 4 bikes depending on needs.

I bought it as a shabby semi wreck after the guy that built it sadly died and it was left in a field for a couple of years.
I got fed up falling through the gaps when I put the bike on so my nephew and I got a restoration job done.
It owed me about £450 all in but it's a great solid and stable trailer.
I've never tried three bikes on it but they should fit easily as the original owner restored road bikes so enduro bikes must fit.

I can't put it in the boot  but it doubles as accommodation on camping weekends :!:

I tried that option first but even clapped out horse boxes were hellishly expensive.
If I used it every couple of weeks it would have been first choice but for the half dozen or so times a year, it would be worth it.

You can get lockable tow-hitches. That's what I use.

Mine is lockable but I wouldn't expect it to put off a serious tealeaf.
