I am getting a response back from a cheap ebay SMS tracker in the format of http://lbs/?mcc=234&mnc=101&lac=4100&cellid=30000

Last two digits replaced by zeros

I was expecting a direct clickable link to google maps which is the format given by the instruction manual.

Any advice in solving this?

I don't believe that GSM tracking is possible on european networks.
If you put the relevant bits of information into http://opencellid.org/ it comes up blank.
MCC 234 is the UK
MNC 00 is BT, 10 is O2, 15 is Vodafone, 20 is Three, 30 is T-Mobile, 33 is Orange etc etc.

The only MNC code of 101 I can find is for an operator in Columbia, where the MCC is 732.

If you know what network you are on, try using the opencell website to see if you can find a cell near where you live that fits the data you are getting off the tracker but I don't think it's going to be much use.

If you are after a decent, easy to use GPS tracker, I recomment the Xexun XT-009 here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121793458604? ... EBIDX%3AIT
I have one fitted to one of my bikes and it's pretty accurate, gives a google maps link as a response.

:-). Thanks - and agreed. It is just the instructions give the output as maps.google...format.

I will buy the xt-009 and the waterproofing looks good but have you tried the TK102?

The case size is interesting
and I am also after the lowest quiescent current draw on a trail bike

I don't think the TK102 is really suitable for mounting on a bike, if you just wanted to carry it in a backpack to allow someone else to track you then OK, but the unit does not appear to be waterproof nor does it have any way to secure it to the bike so any potential thief could quickly remove it and dispose of it.
The XT-009 is around the same size as the TK102, but it's waterproof and can be bolted to the bike to secure it. I've not had any problems with it flattening the battery on my GSA, though I do have a C-TEK monitor lead that indicates when the battery is losing voltage enough to warrant a quick charge up.

Hi ive got the tk102, ive had it for 2years now and has been totally faultless, easy to hide due to size on my ktm350,and now fitted to my beta 300rr.
Maps are google earth or normal and is extremely accurate on your position, i have the kit that fits to the bike battery so constantly charged, and it txt you if the bike battery is running low.You download an app to your phone so everything is sent to you,it even has a built in speaker and microphone.
All this for £32 from china. Money well spent

What should we look for on the IMEI to check I have a genuine Xexun?
