Yes, the 300 has loads of torque, especially the latest ones. They will pull up anything from stalling RPM.

I am also short arsed 5.8 and bought the 200 because of that, prior to 2009 they share the 125 frame which is 2 inches shorter and a bit lighter

I'm 5'9'' with a 28'' inside leg, so it has to be low :D

i have a 200 exc and love it, nice and light and lovely to ride, screams a bit on the tarmac sections though when keeping up on a group trail ride

have you thought about or tried a freeride 250, they seem to go pretty cheap, nice and light plus lower than an exc ?

Not considered a Freeride, out of my price range i'm afraid.
I'll be doing it on the cheap next time around, i don't need anything too flash for what i want to do.
