Give it a go Mike

You may enjoy it :)

Nothing more satisfying after a good trail ride than washing all the mud off from a cracking ride, on the rear lawn/patio area - with a cold beer or mug of tea

Swilling all the mud off from a job well done by your bike

It allows you to see any damage/loose fixings & areas in need of attention

Then into the garage (more tea or beer) to dry her off - re lube everything & wipe down with silicon spray etc, to make her shine again

Note on paper any areas needing attention - controls/chain/air filter etc & stick it between the seat/tank as a memo for another day

It's actually therapeutic

But all this may well endanger Mikes Sponsorship Deal with Steptoe and Son.[/quote]

Tony,

i am confused :?

are you talking about what i should with my bike or my wife :o

I am not really prepared to discuss further about how i look after bike but as for the missus no probs.

i wheel her out once a week for a quick one down the local and sunday afternoons out on one of the lawns to wash her insides with good wine and the odd sausage ( BBq'd of course) . as the years go by i check over thoroughly. takes longer now because after 33 years last monday she is twice the woman i married. i have noticed signs of damage and wear, most of it irreparable. As for lists  its been a long time since i was allowed to write my own list i get a new one every time time i finish the last one.

Greetings,

I have noticed a flaw in your methodology :o

That's where you are going wrong, never ever finish the list and always carry another piece of paper that looks formal to continue to add to the deception
