I have a Yamaha TTR250 which has been great while I start out and I really enjoy it, but my head as been turned by the 2015 CRF250 and 450 XRL that Honda are doing interest free finance on. With the 0% finance they are very attractive.

Looking for some advice on if I should get for broke and get a new bike or stick with my trust TTR? Things that put me off are the servicing on the CRFs and of course I could spend the money on some shiny bits for my TTR, days out, a Van etc. etc.

On the plus side they do look like nice bits of kit with a bit more power and focus, although I have heard they are dogs on the road.

Thoughts?

Nothing wrong with the TTR Scott, started on one myself,

Never been the off road motorbike route with Honda, just road bikes, generally a good bike. I think you will find all the quotes on service intervals are if you are racing the bikes.

You will be able to sell your TTR easily, Russell Huffer from the Herts trf is a firm supporter of Honda bikes. Red and white bikes are not for me. lol

After a trip to Wales and the bike being brilliant and taking all abuse thrown at it it have decided to stick for now and have invested in a transit van to allow me to expand my range of accessible lanes. I also treated the TTR to a nice Motad exhaust from totallyttrs. I think I will upgrade in the future, but I can see me keeping the TTR as a second bike.
