Be careful, that kind of stuff is frowned upon here ;) But yeah, the freedom of owning a dual sport even in an urban environment is immense fun. Nothing else can compare. Going through alley ways, up/down steps, stopping in a car park to have a little play, so much potential! You see potential in things you never did before :D

Although on the subject I would never use a motorbike as my only transport, takes the fun and sense of occasion out of it for me. I don't want to wear it out on a dreary morning commute, I would rather be in a car with a coffee and the radio on.

Motorcycles are great for playing on but not as a means of transport. It is nice to take the journey on the bike for a change though, but not as a regular thing :P

I only use a motorcycle as transport, I don't drive.

Right now, my trail bike is my only bike. Does the job.

A bit risky don't you think if you break it whilst playing? But fair play although in all weathers the novelty soon wears off. Hence I like to wheel it out when I am feeling extra crazy

I guess it depends on what you call a "trail bike"

My 990 Adventure was my daily commuter until this time last year and I often took in a few trails on the ride home from work

My Honda CB500X is now used every day now (27 miles each way and also gets to play on the lanes if it's dry enough)

I have to use mine to commute now unfortunately, cars dead, nowhere to park the camper van so the bike has to suffer

As noted above I had a choice of a few on my previous commute from Bedford to Northampton but since moving to Milton Keynes in December, despite a lot of searching of the maps, there is nothing really "on the way" anymore :(

I don't think my wife would be too happy if I rode the bike from the kitchen to the spare bedroom every day.

I do try and use the bike for site visits or meetings though.
