It's been a few years since I've had a bike with a carb :mrgreen:

So I was having a good poke around my new Beta Alp's carb when I noticed a micro switch on the RHS which is activated by a cam when at or near to full throttle.

What should this switch activate? :?:

(I say should cos it isn't actually connected to anything - two wires come off it and go nowhere :mrgreen: )

My '99 DR350 had the same thing.Something to do with emissions put out at full bore.The bike revved out a lot better with this disconnected.Try it both ways and see if you can tell the difference.

I'll have to wait til it's run in before trying full throttle :mrgreen:

But as it's not connected I'm not expecting anything to happen.

Just something else I can junk (along with all the AIS pipework :roll: )
