I'm new to enduro riding and looking for some decent riding gear. Have already got helmet, goggles, boots, gloves (thin MX ones) and knee protection. I will also be buying some body armour when funds are available. Usually just wear layers of warm old clothes, but have been searching the net for jacket and pants. Just some of the jackets look quite bulky and restrictive for when riding. Just wondered what you would suggest to get with a budget of £200 which could be used all year round which is light and warm?

Thanks, chris

If you want the best get a Klim PowerXross jacket.
Fox all weather look good too.
Bulk is your enemy IMO

i got the shift woody pants and shift flak jacket from MX-1 at team valley for less than £200. think i paid £180 for both the jacket and pants.

theyre great for the money, really water proof but still light. the jacket has removable body armour but i use a pressure suit under the jacket. they have plenty of waterproof pockets and a removable fleece etc.

mx-1 have a website but i went to the shop in gateshead and got them there.

Your budget should include a £30 set-aside for socks fund. Sealskinz are waterproof socks that genuinely keep your feet dry and do fairly well at retaining heat when wet too! Perfect since most MX boots are not remotely waterproof.
