 Post subject: bike graphics

Hi all,Just purchased some new graphics for my bike due to the fact my old ones finally got to the point where i had to remove them.Any tips on how best apply new ones,Thanks Alan

Don't do it in the cold!!

Make sure the plastics are squeaky clean.

Graphics stick better when warm

Clean your plastics so they are spotless and no grease. Something alcohol based.
Line your graphics up on a good line like the top of the shroud etc then get your better halfs hair dryer and slowly and i mean slowly apply graphics from the top downwards, making sure you get rid of all air bubbles.
It takes time and patience if you want them to last and look good. You do need a hair dryer aswell (hot air guns are to hot) as it activates the glue so to speak.

make up a bowl of warm soapy water ,with washing up liquid,
wet area and also sticky side of sticker
place sticker on bike and with a sponge or wet cloth wipe out bubbles from the middle outwawds,
dont wory if the edges dont stick down, leave until dry and then rub over with a dry cloth,, " simmples" !!!!!

Take plastics of the bike and put on house radiators till warm. Once decals fitted put plastics on radiators again for 10min. The glue really sticks well this way.

jonpaul1st,GBROb,andymac,rikidooos.....Thanks guys for the advice,just spent £90 on these graphics and did'nt want to end up with me losing my rag and the graphics screwed up in a sticky ball. Alan
