I am a newbie to UK trail riding and am trying to figure out the best tyre set-up for my BMW 100GS that will allow me to commute to trails from London AND deal with mud when there.
What are other enduro twin riders using out there?
I ride dirt a lot in Italy and my set up out there for a similar old BM is currently michelin starcross front and dunlop D606 rear, as a dual sport set-up and I have a spare rear wheel with Metzeler 6 days tyre for when it gets more muddy. When that gets maxed out I use my 400exc. So as you can see I have got spoilt.
My concern for a London set-up is that the tyre that will get me around and out of town will suck the moment I leave the tarmac.
Any africa twin or 950/990 riders out there with the same issues?
