Hi Looking to buy a new chain for my bike, as the one fitted when I purchased the bike was shortened for use on a road sproket. Can any body suggest best value chain for a weekend green laner? Dont really need to have the BEST/most expensive, but something that will last and is good value for money. I ride a Yamaha WR426 if that helps, and the manual states chain length of 113 + 1 Any advice and guidance on where to buy from would be appreciated. Thanks Russ |

I have been using DID on my bikes for years.When I first bought my KTM I removed the standard chain (I think they are Regina ie.cheap) & fitted a 520 size DID 'O' ring chain, which holds its lubrication internally. I still have this same chain on my bike despite several thousand miles of greenlaning & enduros...so long as you keep it clean & properly lubricated it will last. |

i use Triple S(SSS) 'o' ring chains on my trail bikes,they seem to last well,over 7000 miles of trail/comp only use on my last one.£55,purchased locally but google it and you should be able to find somewhere that may do postage or ask your local dealer i've tried h/duty(non 'o'ring D.I.D chain) and although they're cheaper i didn't get 1/3 of the mileage out of one so were a bit of false economy,plus i was for ever having to adjust them as said above,thoroughly clean and lubricate after every ride and they last well Steve |
