Mines smokeing a tad,looking to fit a new piston kit,might as well go the whole hog and make it as big as possible.Has anyone tried it,and if so,how has the bike improved,did you do anything else to it,ports,exhaust,carb adjustments e.t.c.and where is best place for buying the parts ?

There were various kits offered by American companies 'back in the day'. Thge late lamented Taylor Racing in Wiltshire used to be the respository of DR350 wisdom, but is long since closed.

Kit were available from FMF, White Bros and Yoshimura. There may have been others.

I think the biggest you can go without reliability problems is 441 cc (historical coincidence for BSA fans).

A word of caution: overbore engines rev slower and vibrate more. Jetting can be tricky, and sometimes counter intuatative (bigger bore increases inlet pressure therefore you can need a smaller jet). You can also encounter head gasket problems, plus you may be putting stress on a tired bottom-end.
