email trail following my letter.....

Dear Toby,

Thank you for your letter, I have copied in Debbie so she will receive it as well.

I shall include your comments in my report to Guildford Local Committee in December.

Kind Regards,

Hannah

From me:
That’s great, many thanks. Do you have a feeling for how likely it is that these TROs will be withdrawn? Is there anything else I can do to help?

From Hannah:
We have had quite a few objections so far, but I will have to answer your questions at a later stage, when I know slightly more.

I would suggest that whoever writes, makes it clear in their letter that htey are making a formal COMPLAINT. The authority have no option but to then investigate and maintain a record of this. Otherwise they will simply say that people expressed an opinion or raised issues. This is important if the authority are to be legally challenged at a later date.

If there is evidence that they have ignored their own policy then this is relevant in terms of unreasonableness. If their policy includes nothing on s122 RTRA 1984 or s130 HA 1980 this is relevant.

Failure to repair and removing public rights because of is a sound basis of complaint. Serve a s56 notice on the authority requiring them to repair. They will not like this!

BigTobbyD,

An excellent letter, you should write more often. Thanks for writing.

To reinforce Bozzy, would everyone please make it really clear in their letters that they are "objecting to the proposed TRO".

Thanks
Steve

for the lazy, you should include WHERE to write to.

what email address/postal address

I'm having to look for this, some lazy folks might not bother! :)

If you open up my Guidance document it contains: address, email, reasons to object, guidance… everything in one document…

Also see the post on page one of this thread....

hi went to the Timber woods ldt on the 25 july found a letter and addressed envelope on my windscreen on reading it found it to be concerning these byways. this was a good way of letting outsiders know what's at risk but also made it easy for me to send in a protest as it was all done for me all i did was sign it and stick a stamp on i also asked for an email on reciept of my letter which i got. hope this helps the cause.

Thanks Barbara, your objection will really help.

Brian Cohen; trials & surrey trail rider put the letters together.
