Was reading the Bedfordshire Rights of way improvement plan and came across this graphic within. There are 980Km or RoW in the county, 34Km of BOATs which is approx 3.4% not untypical of the national position.

What does that look like of the ground

To get a true reflection of the amount of access the walkers have you'd have to add the byways and bridleways to the footpaths as they can use them all.

Then there's Right to Roam.........

Beggars belief that they're unhappy with their lot and want to exclude other users altogether.

A very good graphic...perhaps someone who knows the peaks should produce something similar to highlight the disproportionate actions on the NP.
Images like this are far easier fro the layperson to understand, remember that 7 out of 5 people don't understand fractions or percentages..

Greetings all,

What is being suggested was actually done by David Sparkes, PDVUG & GLASS, in his presentation to the PDNPA meeting last month. We are not sure just how it impressed his point but at least some of the meeting asked him questions about it.

It must have taken him ages to produce, well done David.

Hugh.
