Hi,

Please can someone in the Bristol group give me access to the forum?

I want to buy a bike. I really do. But I also want to know if there's anywhere fun to play with it. If I'm stuck on boring roads then there's not really much point.

Thanks!

You can ride from Bristol/Bath into Wiltshire via green/country lanes...and Wilts has more byways than any other English counties.

Join the TRF and loads of super friendly people will help you with everything from choosing a bike to picking it up off your leg the first time you drop it.

Ah... didn't realize there was one in my local pub! Looks like it might be quite inactive though... (Axe Vale).

So I've bought a bike now - a CRF250l. Pick it up on Saturday. Not a big fan of meeting random people in a pub but I guess I should put in the effort! How often do you get out? (not that I have a lot of free time with a newborn!)

Anyone have any experience of the Axe Vale (Portishead) club? Are there actually any members?

Thanks.

So I'm still running the bike in. ~200 miles so far.

Is there anyone within the Portishead area who could show me a single lane I can have a quick play on? My bike is far too clean and shiny!

I'm planning on joining the TRF, just after I've run the bike in, and justified leaving the house with a new baby...

Thanks,
Dave
