After several years of thinking about it but never having the time, I've finally joined and will hopefully get to meet new people and ride some interesting routes.

I live in East Lothian and due to the restrictions in Scotland will be heading south over the border for rides. I've already been in touch with Nic in the Northumbrian group and will hopefully make it to one of the monthly meetings, work permitting.

I have a KTM 950 Adventure which I've done several Welsh and Peak District weekends on with the crowed from ADVRider.com, a few Motocross training sessions, and also ride around the local fields (with landowners permission). However, I know my limitations and also know the 950 is unsuitable in all but the most capable hands so have just purchased an EXCF350 from Triple-D in Kendal which I will be collecting in the next couple of weeks.

If there are any members willing to let a new, novice member join them on rides anywhere in the Northumbria or Cumbria area I would be delighted.

Chris.

Hello chris, mick from northumbria trf here to join some of our rideouts you would have to get to a meet point around the hexham area or heddon on the wall (both are off the A69) which is where i usually start at around 9.30am is that a problem ?,if not you're welcome to join us just let me know when you've got your bike and are ready (i'm on this forum often)
regards

mick

Hi Mick, Thanks for the reply and info on the runs. Hexham or Heddon on the Wall are both fine for me to get to. I will let you know when I have the bike and will register for a ride on the website as well. Hopefully I will make it down for the meet on the 4th April but as I said in my previous post, that will depend on what I'm doing work-wise on the Wednesday and Thursday. I can't see me travelling to many meetings due to the distance from home but it would be good to go to a few so that I meet people.
