Continuing our series of presentation evenings, West Yorkshire TRF has been lucky enough to secure the services of Lyndon (Pyndon) Poskitt for an entertaining evening with the overland explorer extraordinaire.
Lyndon Poskitt aka Pyndon is often referred to as a jack of all trades when it comes to motorcycling. Lyndon has been riding anything with two wheels since he was knee high to a grasshopper, with a history in Trials, Enduro, Motocross, Road Racing, Supermoto and Adventure Touring. A prolific adventure rider, he has put over 90,000 miles on his trademark KTM 950 Adventure, across continents and some of the most demanding terrain in the world. No slouch on the track today either; as well as being a national level Trials and Supermoto rider in the past, Lyndon still competes in the expert class in Enduros today and has just won the UK Big Bike Rally Championship in the twin cylinder class aboard his KTM950. Finishing the Baja 1000 in 2007, the longest non-stop off-road race in the world (aboard a KTM 950 Super Enduro) gave him a taste for the desert and since then he has ventured into Africa on numerous occasions but without the pressure of racing. What the future holds could be anyone's guess but if he can pull it off, a couple of FIM World Cross Country Rallies are definitely on the cards, along with some pretty crazy ideas for Adventure travelling.
