• Guests/Volunteers/Assistants. Fee of £30 pp to cover 2 nights camping and 3 meals.
• Marquee. Ack this vital for 100 pers. Grant can provide 12m x 4m, Jim same, remainder to source if at all poss. Glenn will kindly provide heater (once marque size cfmd.).
• Brassards. Held by Gray. Ldrs to collect and purchase pse(£10).

3. Report on Ride-Outs (Various).

• Welsh 2 Day. (Gladiator Glenn (GG)). Completed 130 mile first day before crashing out and severe damage to shoulder (2mths off work). Had to ride 6 miles off trail before med treatment (which only goes to prove how easy 2 strokes are to ride – assuming you can get them started!). Routes v wet, some tarmac, incl green rds. Describes as “swift trail ride” – considered as typical GG’s gross under-statement! Really good effort GG. He keen to encourage HTRF to enter team.
• Trials Day (Gray). Part of TRF mtg. With Stuart Day nr Leek. Superb day incl exercises, tuition, practices over 200 acre site. Incl rocks, ruts, hills, sleepers, steps, tyres etc. Relevant to green roading. £150 pppd usually but free on this occasion. Incl in future as adjunct to TRF main events?
• HUBB (Simon). Thu and Fri. Superbly organised. Big event. Blister on `HHT2018’? Ride-out on easy routes for adv bikes. Route of 1hr recced and approved. Regrettably many anticipants never ridden off tarmac before/on road bikes & tyres. Route took 2.5hrs with not infrequent ‘offs’, punctures etc. Keen to get involved again but need more thorough briefing of riders or stick to gravel roads. Need to sort out panniers, pillions and road only tyres.
• 28 Jun (Kelvin). Route recce for HHT. 100miles+. Was jolly wet! Many lanes over-grown. Video of experiences on Facefart and WhatsApp. (Remember to ask Rupert about his highly effective mx goggles and the delights in riding through plumes of 2 stroke smoke!)

4. RoW (Nick).

• Rhayader. HHT route for Andy Pitt. Issues. Nick D investigating. But Powys network mgr unaware of route status. TRO? TBC.
• Moelfre City. Southern end. Unofficial looking sign (photo provided by Melvin) stating that no entry/egress through metal gate. TRF already dealing? Gray to spk to Robin Higgins.
• Gywnne Fawr. Question over access rights. Gray to chase.
• Monks Trod. Still flooded and impassable (even to feather light and easy to ride 2 strokes). Spike to attempt – with expectant spectators from HTRF?!
• Hope Mansell. Some progress reported. Signs are in wrong place. Landowner OK with TRF riders, hacked off with 4x4. Suggest ride the green rd downhill and/or push m/c nr bldgs.

5. Police. Initiative by police with TRF. Probs with illegal/stolen bikes ridden on private or restricted land by unqualified youths (in the main). Details yet to be finalized incl areas concerned. Poss able to ride/monitor activity on land usually not accessible. Police to deal with miscreants.

6. Future Ride-outs.

• Aug. Joe. Start Machynlleth to Barmouth. 120 miles.

7. Finance (Gray).

• £36 (net) raised this evening.
• Jim unaval.

8. AOB.

• Expect £55 from GlosTRF for services provided by Kevin.
• Poss donation from HUBB for help provided by Simon, Rupert and Rob?

9. Raffle. Disc lock won by Vic. Most deserving.

Hi David,
You won't regret it!! A great bunch of laid back riders we am. Great timing as well as you can, if you want to, get involved with the Hospice Trail ride set for 9/10Sept but no pressure.
Do keep an eye on this forum as some people have been known to post ride outs on here rather than facebark, WTF, etc.

Are you resident in the north or the south of cider county?
Will make a point of saying hello to you at the next meeting in Fownhope.
Keep between the hedges,
DS650
