Shropshire TRF Meeting 18th January

Post subject:  Shropshire TRF Meeting 18th January
As a result of our Group Return, there has been a suggestion that we should meet - on a monthly basis (which is something I can't commit to due to my odd work rota) - I'm all for this, and Zach has suggested a suitable venue that is fairly close to our main membership area.

So the first Shropshire Group TRF Meeting will take place on 18th January at the Acton Arms, Morville, WV16 4RJ
Starting at around 8pm, it will be a very informal affair - just a social event really.
Hopefully this will continue on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

Unfortunately, my wife tells me that I have a prior engagement on 18th, so I won't be there :(

This is open to all - Shropshire Members or not.

That's good news Mike.
Get someone to buy a bike related raffle prize,£20 value ish.
Sell the tickets at £2 each and refund the cost to whoever bought the prize.Put the remainder in the group account.
Have a good meeting.

And it's also happening in Shropshire. :D

That be a bit north for me to go Mike but have a good one. Your name was mentioned (without swearing) at our last meet. I have sort of agreed to show Spike some S Shops routes in early Feb if you don't beat me to it. Tim says hello too :D

Thank you Nick for reminding our erstwhile chum (Mr Mike Alwyn) that we still exist - and miss him terribly!

Mike, we haven't been out together for ages, so when's that likely to happen? When you back next off the rig? Having chatted this through with Nick at our (Hfd Gp TRF) last mtg, and mindful that he should be ride-fit again fairly soon, perhaps we can get together up in your neck of the woods? Please send preferred date/dates sir! Nick and I also agreed that we'd take addl tools, spares and fuel - now that you ride a 2 stroke! We're here for you!

Hoping to get along that evening to meet up with everyone. Just needing to cancel a hot date ;-)

I am also trying to track down what happened to the Shropshire TRF fighting fund that existed for many years prior to the Group fizzling out. I've asked the question to a couple of greyheads to see if they can remember, but so far, no luck... I suspect lost into the coffers of Barclays or similar.
