Thinking of a trip out from Herefordshire to Derbyshire for the day, which is somewhere new for our small group of five to try out.Is it worth the drive or is everything restricted/tro,d on ?

Loads to go at ! Don`t get me wrong, we have lost a lot over the years but the TRF have done a fine job in keeping as many open as possible. You should be able to ride all day without doing repeats. A two day stint may mean doing a few lanes the other way round though. It all depends on how quick you are at getting around. (We are mainly rocky and rutty here). :D

Yes, good point Steve ! Perhaps we could do a guide exchange deal with Herefordshire.

There you go hut1. You get yourselves down here for a day and we will get over to you for a day. Hows that ?
I have a van to get me and another two riders and bikes to Herefordshire. It sounds like Steve wants to be one of the other two when it comes to our turn.

Sounds good, but not a great deal to ride in Herefordshire, most of my rideing was in the Wye valley/Forest of Dean which is a very sensitive area now. My last trip out was Wales, only to be stopped by the law and given a choice of a summons or section 59 ! Which was two weeks later withdrawn ! nice letter of apology though, shame it said reference to " off road motorcycle use ????? ".
Peak district certainly seems to have lots marked on trailwise,so definatley up for a trip, with a group of 5.
