Hi all,

My friend and I are both members of the Surrey TRF and were signed up to attend the Bagshott 3 stage trial on April 19th, which has now been cancelled :-(

As we've been allowed passes for the day from our bosses/wives, we'd like to venture out to pastures new and do something different.....not that there is anything wrong with Surrey you understand!

Wondered if there would be anyone around on the 19th of April to lead us around your local area? I'd estimate a driving radius of say 2 hours from Gatwick Airport?

We're both an "Inbetweener" level of rider - not beginners but not David Knight either and both think we're easy to get on with and like to have a laugh (mainly at ourselves!).

Would appreciate any offers and would of course, repay in a return trip to Surrey for you/your group.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

I can't believe you have had 90 odd views and no replies on this. Oh well.

Since the Bagshot event was cancelled I have entered the Sphinx LDT in Gloucestershire so will not be around on the 19th. I do however have two one day road books for the Swindon area, great riding, and a good GPS route which will take you down as far as Salisbury on lanes.

Let me know if either are of interest and I can email the GPS route or bring the road books to club night.

Cheers
Kev

The Devon TRF Axe to Exe that weekend is must do if you have not yet done this.

A great introduction to how a large National TRF event can and should be run.

Meanwhile Herts TRF have a significant event at Torque Racing near Baldock with ride outs.on the 18th. which is only (less than) 2Hrs drive from you.

There is generally something happening every day of the weekend at Herts TRF and normally a mid week ride as well.

You can get the latest update at https://www.facebook.com/groups/HertsTRF/events/

The events are cross posted to the forum by Paul - Herts TRF Vice chair at the begging of the month when we do our monthly email update so all National Members can see what main rides are on offer.

Can't commit just yet. But if you don't have anything planned a bit nearer the date I might be able to show you around in Kent.

Thanks Mario,

The Devon Axe to Exe is over 3 hours drive each way, so although it sounds superb, it would have to be better planned on our part to get down there and back - maybe next year.

Thanks for the link to the Herts TRF Facebook site - I've requested to join the page. I cannot see the event at Torque Racing listed, but I am sure I'll be able to find it once I have full access to view.

Tony,

Thanks for the post - will PM you nearer the time to see if you are free.

Paul
