Saw the damage today, Alot has changed since Xmas.

The Tank stopper designed to stop 4x4s crossing the week bridge have all been pull out of place.

many of the places to cross the river as they ar now sheer drops of a foot or more making exiting the water much more difficult. Almost all of the bank down towards the water is rutted and eroded.

also along side the path in various locations there are now deep rut caused by 4x4s using the soft verge instead of the path.

I do not say that 4x4s shouldn't use the path, as when being driven responsibly the the route can be used sustainanle by 4x4s

I stopped riding the Fosse ages ago (it's my nearest lane ) mainly due to the fact that has been graded and it ends at the Kemble fence and you have to turn around and ride back the way you came so all the walkers that hate you get to count you twice. The only interesting bit is the river where the 4x4 idiots have messed it up by driving off piste and of course off limits for us.
Best done on a week day if you are desperate to get out.

Regards

There's a UCR around Kemble airfield...

And more lanes beyond.

Richard is right Petezed you can carry on for quite a way past Kemble on to and around Cirencester.

It's my closest lane too - where are you?

Thanks for the offer guys but I don't think I'm going to make it out tomorrow. I've been out riding with Tony and Bob from the Bristol group all day today, I think it's going to take me atleast a week to recover.

Thanks guys for putting up with me all day :D

Hi Sam,

the day did not end when you left us as I got yet another puncture :o

It'll be a better day next time

Bob.

Hi Bob,

Well glad you got back ok in the end. Did you get to the bottom of why the tubes kept letting go?

Anyone going out this weekend?

I'm planning on going out for a few hours on Saturday as Sunday weather wise isn't looking to good.
