Hi all, wondering if there is much action in the Suffolk area?

Thanks!

Join the TRF. Then attend a local meeting. £45 for the year matey. You have got to be in it to win it. ;)

Bearing in mind the Suffolk meeting thread a few posts down reckoned only 2 turned up, I'm not gonna give my money if I'm the only member in my area ;-)

There are very few lanes in Suffolk, but there are still lanes to be ridden and its the Trf who are fighting to keep them.

Suffolk is a small TRF group who do not now meet but the membership fee goes to the national body towards the cost of fighting for the remaining lanes. Just outside Suffolk in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Essex there are hundreds of lanes, all of them accessible.

You can find them for yourself or you can join in with like minded people and we will show them and importantly ride them with you. Riding further afield if you want all through the TRF network. Using the forum and keeping in touch direct you do not need to go to a meeting, just turn up on the day ( by prior arrangement) and ride.

Have you seen the Peak district ride advertised elsewhere on the forum?

Might be worth checking out the Norfolk site, depending on where you are in Suffolk.

When I rode the Suffolk lanes last year I was impressed with their number & length. There are lanes that have been closed, but I covered about 70 kms on lanes when I rode from Woodbridge to Saffron Walden (just over the border), about a third of the whole day & it could have been more if it hadn't been a journey to stay with friends, but a day out to ride as many as possible. Join the TRF to keep the lanes open in Suffolk & beyond & meet some really nice & helpful blokes.

There are many lanes across Suffolk still open, they are just a little scattered in between. It's also quite a central location for venturing into Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. Not sure on the current state of the Suffolk group at the moment. I was a member but due to University I'm not around for most of the year.
