If anyone is interested in joining a run into the Derbyshire Dales / Peak District on Sunday 25/8/13, here's the details;

Meet 07:45 @ McDonalds, Markeaton Island, Derby (at end of A52 / A38)

OR (for vans / trailers etc)

thanks Hugh but i'm trailer-less so I start south derbyshire-ish (Brailsford - near Ashbourne) and work my way north-west, then east and south again. thanks for the invite - the sunday run (25/8/13) is definitely on, so if you know anyone.............

We have nothing to hide and are doing nothing illegal.

I have advertised rides on here. I state a limit on numbers and ask riders to make themselves known. Time date place. Why not?

The only occasion I can recall when I had more riders than expected it turned out to be one riders son tagging along as an extra. He now runs the trials events for the local motor club formerly run by his late father and is a valued friend of the fellowship whom I am glad I did not exclude or turn away many years ago.

How on earth are new (or old) members supposed to know where and when. Secret squirrel network? Invitation only? Not very welcoming. Small wonder so many other forums thrive whilst so few rides are organised on here, or maybe they are, secretly.....

We post up all rides in our group section its just the way we do things.
Also stops people just turning up who aren't members

Well, I thanks Nick for the great day i had, for his patience too !
It's not like if they were 10 or 20 people showing up, only the two of us.
